Who we are and what this covers
Vitabyte Inc. ("Vitabyte", "we") operates vitabyte.com. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website: forms, the Angie chat and your use of the site.
It does not cover information handled under a customer agreement, or payments, which are provided by VitaPay, our payments company, under its own terms and privacy notice at vitapay.com.
Information we collect
- What you send us: your name, e-mail address, telephone number, company, type of business, number of locations and message when you use a form.
- Job applications: your full name, e-mail address, telephone number, the role you apply for, anything you write to us and your resume, when you apply on our careers page.
- Conversations with Angie: the name, e-mail address and telephone number you enter to start a chat, and what you and Angie write.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you request, and security and error information generated while running the website.
- Approximate location: the city your internet connection appears to be in, used only for the local weather in the header.
Please do not send payment-card numbers, card security codes, passwords, social security numbers or bank details through a form or the chat.
How we use information
To consider a job application and contact you about it; to answer your enquiry, arrange a demonstration and follow up on a conversation; to operate, secure and improve the website and prevent misuse and fraud; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Browser storage and weather
The website remembers your light or dark theme, and an open conversation with Angie in the current browser tab, in your browser's own storage. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser at any time.
The weather in the header uses your connection's approximate city. Your full IP address is never sent to the location provider, and we do not store your address or location.
Chatting with Angie
Angie is a virtual assistant, not a person. When a conversation ends, a copy with your name, e-mail address, telephone number and a short summary is e-mailed to our team at solutions@vitabyte.com so a person can follow up. If you ask, a copy is also e-mailed to you. The conversation is kept only in your browser tab until then, and is not stored on the website's server.
Retention and security
Nothing you send is stored on the website itself: it is delivered by e-mail to our team. We keep enquiries, job applications and conversation transcripts only as long as needed to respond, consider the application, maintain business records and meet legal obligations, and protect them with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to their sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We will verify your request before acting on it.

Children
The website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them, and will delete it if we learn we have.
Other websites and international access
The website links to vitapay.com, the Translink portal and other websites, whose own privacy notices apply. Information is processed in the United States; if you use the website from elsewhere, you understand it will be handled there.
